Caption This...

A picture is worth a thousand words (which is still shorter than most of my posts) so I'm taking a break from my mindless babbling about how much I love the playoffs and how great this first round is and blah blah blah...and showing it to you instead. The camera catches those little moments the naked eye so often misses - the facial expressions, the body contortions, the puck frozen in midair. It's the little nuances that make this game so enjoyable...even long after the game itself is over.

1. It's important to stretch before Gymboree, kiddies...

2."I am the GREATEST HOSSA ALIVE!!!"

3. Tackled at the 2-yard line

4. "Light as a feather, stiff as a board...light as a feather, stiff as a board"

5. "Yes! I stopped i-...oops. Ohhhh. That's what a goal looks like. Huh."

6. "Pantene Pro-V keeps my hair silky and smooth!"

7. "AAAAAAAHHHHHH!!!"

8. "I got him..." "No, I got him..." "No, no, I got him..."

9. "ADRIAAAAAN!"

And for those people who say I'm too mean to Sid the Kid, a special commemorative Crosby Album...just to show I care.

SC1. "Over, under, around the...DAMMIT! Mario? Help!"

SC2. "EEEEEEagle!"

SC3. "What? It's just a little water weight, I swear!"

SC4. Pffft...too...funny...can't...caption...

SC5. Um, yeah. No comment.

For whatever reason, hockey photos just always strike me as funny. Got a caption? Toss it in the comments!

So Sid wears crocs like our darling Ovie, except in puke yellow! Copycat.

Hey! I use Pantine Pro V!

Does it keep your hair silky and smooth? :)

Ovie wears crocs?

You have no idea how shattered I am to learn that.

Jordi said...

I used to use it too! But it was too expensive :). To be honest, it's pretty good. Okay I'll stop plugging the product now... Kept my hair sily too...

Oh I love how you hate Crosby too. But you know, I hate him more.

Ahaha, those were great. #4 (the dead goalie one) looked like he had keeled over and the other players were circling like vultures. I love hockey pictures.

Awww, Sidney love! (#1 was excellent) I think you spend just as much time on Sid as you do on Ovechkin...a latent love trying to bloom? ;)

Also...where the hell is Vokoun's HEAD?

My hair is silkier than Silk. Muahahaha.

Go Sharks Go!

Elly: Sidney-love? ME??? Oh man. I need to stop mentioning his name altogether lest I give people the wrong impression!

Let's put it this way. I respect him for the tremendous talent that he is...but I also think he is a whiner and a showoff and a robot sent from space to destroy us all. If I spend time on him it is only because I have been brainwashed by the media and the NHL to do so.

In my mind Ovie is and always will be a more entertaining guy on and off the ice. So there. So HA! OVECHKIN RULES!

...oh, and Vokoun's head is behind his stick. I know, it took me about 15 minutes of staring to find it - another tremendous use of my time.

There is NOTHING wrong with Pantene Pro-V. In fact, it does keep my hair silky smooth!

Also, the Crosby tying laces one? BRILLIANT.

Haha so apparently I totally missed this post...I will be captioning soon don't you even worry about it. By the way I love the EAAAAAAAAAGLE little Scrubs action eh?

CapsChick said...

Bethany: I heart Scrubs - I totally had Zach Braff's voice in my head when I was writing that!

More caption-worthy pics to come later tonight, so no worries :)

Seriously that was the greatest episode ever...well aside from the musical...Turk's back from his honeymoon!!!!! OHHHHHHHH and I need to tell you something haha

Sidney IS a showoff....he just can't help showing how great he is. Hehe.

Ovechkin definitely gives the better interviews in terms of entertainment value....but that's about it. :)

Oh, thank you! I couldn't find his head and I kept looking and wondering how his spine remained intact...

bethany: Someday he'll love me like that!

Sherry could I have some? My current one sucks but I don't want to switch just yet.
