Gosh Darn It To Heck

(It's a family-friendly blog, people...)

So the Caps lost. Again. They fell behind early. Again. The power play sputtered. Again. Johnson was pulled for Cassivi. Again. A player recorded a milestone (actually, this was a 2 for 1 special) against the Caps. Again.

Maybe from now until the end of the season I'll just do what TV shows do - reruns. Would anyone notice the difference between this game and say, any other game in the last two months?

Tonight was fun, though. Oh, god, not because of the game. That stunk, although YAY Ovechkin for getting #40 and #41!!

Caps Blogger Happy Hour Version 4.0 on the other hand was a rousing success, with special thanks to our host with the most, the only man who not only admits to owning but wears a Craig Laughlin signed Caps hat, Biff. We had the usual friendly faces, a few new ones, and just some good old-fashioned hockey fans (do those still exist in DC? Huh...) who showed up to join in the fun. We had Caps fans, Caps/Sens fans, Caps/Habs fans, Maple Leafs fans, and even a Red Wings fan - and no one got beat up. Don't get me wrong, there were threats. But at the end of the evening, all parties departed unscathed.

These things just get better and better, by the way, so if you haven't stopped by...well, you might be out of luck for this season. But pencil some date in 2008 onto your calendar, because we're doing it up Caps fan style!

I'm really not drunk posting, I swear. I've just run out of things to say about the Caps at this point. Um...
