Hold on to your hats, folks, because there was actually...hockey coverage...in the paper.
Okay, so it was basically Tarik's interview with Olie in a slightly longer format, but still - the Washington Post is actually giving up precious space they've been using to cover 300 lb football players running around in 100 degree heat for hockey.
Check it out here - I have to go faint.

Maybe they mistook a picture of Olie in his gear to be some 600 lb linebacker? That could be the only way to explain the sudden lapse in judgement.
That's what I'm thinking - no other way to explain it, really.
I do have to say (and usually I don't like to say nice things about the local media on principle) the Post has surprised me this summer, in a good way. Not tons of stuff, which is fine, but there have been a couple of articles including a few nice profiles during the development camp that were really good.
Of course, the Redskins weren't "in action" at the time, so we'll see what kind of coverage training camp. Full-page spreads and front page articles, I'm sure...
