Jiri It for Columbus

Quick update on a few former Caps - Jiri Novotny signs with the Blue Jackets for two years and Dainius Zubrus signs for six years with the Devils. Fascinating.

Oh, and if you're keeping track of all parts to that controversial trade...Timo Helbling remains teamless. Even more fascinating.

More later...

Man...I can't believe Zubrus got a SIX year contract that is nuts. He will do good in Jersey I am sure...

It boggles my mind, too, don't worry. 6 years? WHAT ARE THESE CLUBS SMOKING??

Isn't he like old?! Guess not just checked he is only 28...I guess good for him?

Wow. Now we know Zubie is gone for good. I'm not sure how I feel about that...

Still, I've trained myself to not miss him. Although that contract's insanity, at least Columbus has a good guy. =]

Oh, B...I really don't want to be the one to tell you this, but I think Shelby was mixing up Columbus with Jersey. She's definitely talking about Zubie, not Novotny.

Jiri's good, too, though.

Really.

*cough*
